Monetization Eligibility Planner

YouTube is changing Partner Program entry from 1 February 2027. This planner compares the rules that apply today with the new ones, shows how far you are from each, and estimates the date you could qualify at your current pace.

How to use it

  1. Enter your subscribers, public watch hours from the last 365 days and Shorts views from the last 90 days.
  2. Add your upload pace and average results per video.
  3. Compare the two rule sets side by side and read the monthly target needed to hit your date.

How it works

Rules shown, per YouTube Help and the YouTube Blog post of 10 August 2026: Today (ads and Premium revenue sharing) 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 10 million public Shorts views in the last 90 days. For new applicants from 1 February 2027 1,000 subscribers plus 8,000 qualified watch hours in the last 365 days, or 20 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days. Fan funding and Shopping stay at 500 subscribers plus 3,000 watch hours or 3 million Shorts views. Creators already in the program keep their status. From the same date, Shorts revenue sharing needs 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days.

The projection adds your estimated new watch hours each month to what you have now. Real life is lumpier, hours older than 365 days drop out, and YouTube reviews every application. Confirm the live rules in YouTube Studio before you rely on any date.
